Welcome to HackerStorm
where we help with vulnerability research and improve the success of your penetration testing
- Ebooks for Penetration Testers & Security Professionals
The first of a series of ebooks being published to help plan and manage pentration testing and ethical hacking projects has now been released. The objective of these ebooks is not to repeat what all other hacking books say but to help advise testers and those hiring testers on how to define a better more useful test plan which is both trustworthy as well as meaningful. Please check back for updates on new releases or follow us on twitter @hackerstorm
- HackerStorm OSVDB Tool
Since we launched our free vulnerability database tool back in May 2005 we have had well over 10,000 downloads. The tool now features in security live CD's and is also on the curriculum for the CEH (certified ethical hacker) course including the CEH study book 'All in one CEH certified ethical hacker study guide'. Numerous white papers also mention the tool and rate it as important as visiting websites such as SecurityFocus.com and USCert.org when doing vulnerability research.
- HackerStorm Nessus & OpenVas Reporter
We have created another popular tool, the Nessus & OpenVas Reporter, this tool allows you to view vulnerability scan jobs with various kinds of reports from technical to executive. It also lists scan jobs for easy browsing. Please check it out, we like it a lot and we hope you do too.
- News and Advisories
Our news and advisories service is a collection of many security feeds which are aggregated and presented on a single page. We have created various categories of news from vendor bulletins, hacker activity, zero day, general security and more. You can also search all feeds by key word too. An exciting feature of our news and advisories page is the ability for users to create your own custom RSS feeds based on keyword searches allowing everyone to monitor specific vendors, announcements, bulletins and more that is relevent to themselves.
Vulnerability Research Tool
Our mission with the new vulnerability research tool is to allows users to query multiple databases for various kinds of useful information to help with the research phase of penetration testing as well as research information for incident response and present it in a single report. The first database to be setup is the Exploit-DB database from Offensive Security. We are adding more databases so please check back on a regular basis for updates or follow us on twitter @hackerstorm .
